I/O Extender firmware license - 21 October 2012 ----------------------------------------------- The I/O Extender firmware is copyrighted 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 Jean Belanger (jbperf.com) Permission is given to use this source code, object code and executable exclusively on the jbperf.com I/O Extender board and derivatives. Any other use of the code, in part or in entirety, is not permissible and goes against this present license. It is not permitted to reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code from the provided object code and executable (s19 file) or from any other file provided in the project directory. Any modification or addition to the code must be made available on the jbperf.com forum and the author gives the rights to the owner of jbperf.com to use the code, as-is or modified in any way, for any I/O Extender-related application, or derivatives, either as source code, object code, executable or all of these. Once given, these rights are irrevocable. In the case of a pure code addition, the author retains the rights to do whatever he/she wishes with his/her code but this is limited to the code or code parts that are entirely new. Any modification or addition that comes from duplicating existing code, with or without modifications, is not covered by the previous sentence and such code becomes part of the code subject exclusively to this license. Any author of new code will get credit for their contribution, if they so wish, and this credit will be shown in the source code header or in the code adjacent to the contribution. In the case if entirely new code (not derived from existing code), the author can also attach a specific license for their code as long as this license does not come in conflict with or limit the present license. For example, new code cannot use the GPL license because that would require the entire code to be subject to the GPL license; an LPGL license could be used as long as the code is implemented as a new library. This example is only a single case and is not limiting this aspect to those licenses. Also, the owner of jbperf.com reserves the right to refuse the use of a license if he deems it to be against the intentions of the present license. If no license is explicitly given by the author, the present license applies to new code. Anyone using the source code, object code, executable and CodeWarrior project, with all its files, provided with the present license is deemed to have read the present license and to have explicitly accepted the terms of the present license. No warranty of fitness for a particular purpose nor is any other warranty provided with the code. It is the sole responsibility of the user to determine whether the code and system is suitable for their intended application. This source code, object code, executable and CodeWarrior project cannot be distributed by anyone in any way without the explicit agreement of the owner of jbperf.com.
